EXTRA-GENRE COMMUNITY RADIO «FANTASIA» ORIGINATED BY TYPOGRAPHY CENTER WORKERS IS TO CREATE A PLATFORM TO SPEAK OPENLY ABOUT ACTUAL PROBLEMS OF THE WORLD SOCIETY AND ARCHIVE MATERIALS COLLECTED BY ARTISTS, CURATORS, JOURNALISTS, ART AND SOCIAL THEORISTS, SONIC RESEARCHERS AND SOUND POETS.
WE CREATE AN IMPULSE AND HOPE THAT IT WILL FIND AN OUTLET IN DIFFERENT POINTS OF REALITY, WE WANT TO COME TOGETHER WITH THOSE CULTURAL WORKERS THAT CONTINUE TO WORK IN DIFFICULT SITUATIONS ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
WE ALSO CONSIDER IT IMPORTANT TO FIGHT IN VARIOUS FORMS. THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS OF CIVIL RESISTANCE, SPREADING INFORMATION ABOUT WARS, CONFLICTS, DISCRIMINATION AND A CLEAR AND UNAMBIGUOUS EXPRESSION OF THE POSITIONS.
The concept revolves around celebrating the brilliance of musicians who are still with us. Unlike typical tributes that arise posthumously, this show aims to provide a monthly platform for artists to curate hour- long mixes dedicated exclusively to a living musician they admire. By doing so, we not only showcase the diversity of musical talent but also foster a sense of appreciation for the artists who are actively contribung to the industry.
The format promises a dynamic and evolving show, offering listeners a unique experience each month. I believe 'Kudos to Living Artists' aligns with the ethos of Radio Fantasia, bringing a fresh perspecve to the airwaves while maintaining a connection with the ever-evolving landscape of music.

Fred Horton – Sounds of the Moment (Summer 2022)
From the ripped audio of still videos taken during the summer of 2022, this study splices a new sonic journey from the absence of the visual image. The framing of everyday happenings and oddities (moments) form the ever-changing surroundings, inspiring the architectural and photographic practice of the artist. One can wander through each fleeting soundscape, letting one pass as another one comes.
Fred Horton (b.1998) currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany. He studied Architecture and Fine Arts at the Rhode Island School of Design in the USA. The artist's work focuses on the framing of moments, the spatial experience of the body through time and space, and how the architectural and photographic medium can simultaneously clarify and obscure the reality of things. His work, typically in the form of a study, strives to be spatial and performative rather than constructive and objective.
